About AIIMS Deoghar

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Deoghar is one of the six AIIMS established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Located in the holy city of Deoghar in Jharkhand, the institute aims to address regional disparities in affordable tertiary healthcare and provide quality medical education.

The institute started its academic session in 2019-20 with the MBBS program and has rapidly grown into a comprehensive healthcare destination for the people of Jharkhand and adjoining states. Spread over 200 acres, the campus houses state-of-the-art medical facilities, advanced research centers, and a teaching hospital with 750 beds.
